which wood is more scratch resistant?
I am looking to buy a wooden high chair. However, I know the woods used these days for kids producs are not very good. Which of these woods would be not only stronger, but less likely to get scratched or dinged up?
The 1st high chair is a Badger Basket (http://www.badgerbasket.com/products/productPage.asp?PID=652&CID=4#): •Wood Chair and Tray are made with E-1 Grade Multi-layer Poplar wood
The 2nd high chair is a Primo Baby Deluxe (http://www.primobaby.com/high_chair_02.htm) High quality, natural color structurally cold molded Birch wood
My favorate wood is oak but I can't find one in oak (not just oak finished, real oak)
I looked at the link for the oak chairs, but that's not what I'm looking for. Both the Badger & the Primo are both "grow with me" chairs which is the type I'm looking for. My son just turned 2 and is 36" so I need something for a larger child but he's not mature enough for just a booster (I've tried and he falls)

1950 chevrolet super deluxe?
found one for a good price, but how much shoud it be for a complete (ceiling, seats, floorboard) upholstery job? it's pretty gnarly on the inside but beautiful on the outside and rides great, so can i just stape some quilt cushions to it or cover the seats with sheets, as long as i get it checked for mold damage?
Those bench seats are pretty easy to recover. Most upholstery shops will do the seats for 3-400 dollars. The headliner about 200, The floor mats were rubber in that car. Just buy replacements through JC Whitney.
If you are handy with a sewing machine, you can remove the old seat cushion covers and sew up new ones using the old ones as templates.
Same with the headliner, but a little trickier to fit.
I just drove my old classic Plymouth to TJ and had the entire interior redone for $500.00.
