Bristol Night Race
Planning motorcycle trip Montana to Key West with stop at Bristol for Saturday night Aug. race any dont miss ?
Did the Mt to Ky trip 3 yrs ago, had a blast. I want to stay off interstates, see the country, used to live in Ky and Fla, stationed in NC @ Camp LeJeune, lived in Pompano, worked in Ft Myers and want to take 30 days, see some country, relaxed pace. Just looking for some "do not miss" hints.
Definitely do the Dragon, if you can. But the better part (in my humble opinion) of that road, which happens to be US 129, is to the south. Follow it down and it winds lazily down the mountains and through the forests. Much more relaxing than the dragon.
The Cherohola Skyway is supposed to be awesome but I haven't done it yet.
If you haven't already been to Devil's Tower WY, or Spearfish Canyon SD they would be worth seeing. If you spend a night at Spearfish you could do the canyon just after sunrise and just before sunset, traffic is light then and it is awesome. And you will want to do it twice.

My husband and I want to attend our first NASCAR race...which one would you NASCAR fans recommend?
We are leaning toward the August Bristol night race...anyone ever been to that one?
I go to the Bristol night race every year....... it's my favorite track but I'll warn that once you see a race there you won't want to attend another track....... so go to Daytona or Talledega 1st, then hit Bristol in August
