Bass Balance Pedals
i cant play heel up on bass drums!!!?
i find it really hard to keep my balance when i i play heel up on the pedals and up until now thats been fine but now im wanting to play on the bass drum faster and i know it will be easier if i play heel up but i completely loose my balance doing this. why?? and what can i do?

You were just never properly taught how to sit on the throne. You balance on a throne rather than sit on it like a stool. This is because you cannot use your feet for balance since they should be busy playing. Sounds like you have developed a bad habit of using your bass foot for balance rather than learning to balance without your feet. Whatever you do, never buy a double bass to compensate for poor single bass technique. That's like telling someone who can't play guitar yet that buying a double neck guitar will make playing easier.
